Bajaj Auto(up 2.96 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 2.67 per cent), Eicher Motors(up 2.31 per cent), TIINDIA(up 2.25 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp(up 1.8 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bharat Forge(down 0.91 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.74 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(down 0.11 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.8 per cent at 11466.65 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 21.1 points at 17924.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 57.81 points at 60077.97.
