Shares of Divis Laboratories(up 1.61 per cent), Strides Pharma Science(up 1.42 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(up 1.29 per cent), Lupin(up 0.81 per cent) and Pfizer(up 0.63 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Torrent Pharmaceuticals(down 1.69 per cent), Abbott India(down 1.45 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 1.44 per cent), Laurus(down 1.33 per cent) and Cadila Healthcare(down 1.29 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.09 per cent up at 14629.2.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 46.0 points at 17991.95, while the BSE Sensex stood up 148.53 points at 60284.31.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 ended in the green, while 21 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, IDBI Bank, Suzlon Energy and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Pasupati Acrylon, Network18 Media, Hindprakash Industri, IDBI Bank and Hindustan Motor hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Inventure Grwth, Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., Vera Synthetic, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd. and Servotech Power Syst hit their fresh 52-week lows.
