Stocks that rallied over 10% included, Pacific Ind(14.83%), Starlog Enterprises(14.55%), Walchand People(14.41%), Centrum Capital(13.64%), Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd.(13.28%), Amrit Corp.(12.67%), Tata Power(11.98%), Swelect Energy(11.72%), CSL Finance (11.64%) and SBL Infratech Ltd.(11.63%).
The 30-share Sensex traded 346.4 points up at 60630.71, while the 50-share Nifty index rose 135.65 points to 18127.6.
In the Nifty 50 index, 39 stocks traded in the green, while 11 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Tata Motors(DVR), Auto Corp Goa, NRB Industrial, NHC Foods and Brahmaputra Inf hit their fresh 52-week high, while Regency Investments, Rajasthan Petro, Advance Lifestyles Ltd., Supreme Holdings & and Sun Retail touched their new 52-week low in trade.
