NEW DELHI: JP Power(numbers of share traded: 14.16 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 12.85 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 12.69 crore), Trident Ltd(numbers of share traded: 11.95 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 11.87 crore), Tata Motors(numbers of share traded: 10.36 crore), ITC(numbers of share traded: 8.54 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 8.21 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 6.38 crore) and SAIL(numbers of share traded: 6.02 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 176.8 points up at 18338.55, while BSE Sensex ended up 568.9 points at 61305.95.
On the other hand, Coal India Ltd.(down 3.29 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.83 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.81 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.20 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
