“You may face an issue with authorizing the sale of your stocks due to an issue with CDSL. We are in touch with CDSL to have the issue resolved at the earliest,” the stock brokerage said.
Zerodha is India’s largest trading platform with more than 6 million users. The platform has in the recent past become integral to the rise of first-time investors in the stock market.
After consultation with CDSL, the source of the technical issue, Zerodha told its users to skip the ‘CDSL authorisation’ requirement if they wish to sell their holdings on Zerodha Kite App “until CDSL resolves the issue”.
“Please make sure to authorise your holdings by 5 PM,” Zerodha said.
