Strides Pharma Science(up 6.41 per cent), Granules India(up 2.05 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(up 1.9 per cent), Cipla(up 0.9 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.87 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Laurus(down 1.22 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 0.38 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(down 0.37 per cent) and Pfizer(down 0.04 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.5 per cent at 14248.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 21.05 points at 18245.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 111.62 points at 61148.34.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
