Lexus Granito(down 4.78%), KIOCL(down 4.66%), Ashapura Minechem(down 4.29%), NMDC Ltd(down 4.10%), Coal India(down 4.06%), Oriental Trimex(down 3.74%), Aro Granite Industries(down 3.36%), Pokarna(down 2.93%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 2.75%) and Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 2.08%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 353.7 points down at 17857.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 1158.63 points at 59984.7.
IndusInd Bank(up 2.93%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.66%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.26%), Asian Paints(up 0.7%), Shree Cement(up 0.3%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.18%) and Bajaj Finance(up 0.03%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 7.74%), ITC(down 5.6%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 4.88%), ICICI Bank(down 4.35%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 4.1%), Coal India(down 4.06%), Axis Bank(down 3.7%), Titan Company Ltd(down 3.45%), State Bank of India(down 3.43%) and Tata Motors(down 3.38%) closed in the red.
