Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today’s trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of SMS Lifesciences Ind, JIK Industries, Gokul Agro Resources, KDDL Ltd and Asahi Ind Glass, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday’s trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 353.7 points down at 17857.25 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Bombay Metrics Supply Chain Ltd., Ramco Systems, Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd., D K Enterprises Global Ltd. and SREI Infra Fin, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 7 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 43 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, IndusInd Bank, L&T, UltraTech Cem., Asian Paints and Shree Cements were among top gainers during the day, while Adani Ports SEZ, ITC, ONGC, ICICI Bank and Kotak Bank ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 1158.63 points down at 59984.70.

Traders piled up positions in Glass, Construction, Cement, Hospitals & Allied Services and InvIT sectors, while selling was witnessed in Miscellaneous, Tourism & Hospitality, Learning & Education, Shipping and Tobacco sectors during the day.
