IndusInd Bank(up 4.26 per cent), State Bank of India(up 1.68 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.69 per cent), HDFC Bank(up 0.43 per cent) and Punjab National Bank(up 0.36 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bandhan Bank(down 4.13 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank(down 0.7 per cent), ICICI Bank(down 0.27 per cent), IDFCBANK(down 0.2 per cent) and RBLBANK(down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.55 per cent at 39332.4 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 72.75 points at 17744.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 197.8 points at 59504.73.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.
Shares of SAIL, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Power and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kriti Ind, MPS Infotecnics, Transport Corp, Minda Corp. and LG Balakrishnan hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Vikas Proppant & Gr, Asian Hotels(W), Jiya Eco Products Lt, Intnl Conveyors and Sagardeep Alloys hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
