Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 45.9 points to 17870.9 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Destiny Logistics & Infra Ltd., Jiya Eco Products Lt, Airo Lam and Kotyark Industries Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 26 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 24 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, UltraTech Cem., Grasim Inds., Titan Company, Tech Mahindra and Tata Motors were among top gainers, while IndusInd Bank, Divis Labs, Hindalco, RIL and Asian Paints traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 166.1 points down at 59901.52 at 10:19AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Cement, Airlines, Defence, Electric/Electronics and Logistics sectors, while selling was visible in Miscellaneous, Tourism & Hospitality, Learning & Education, Services and Industrial Consumables sectors.
