NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
TCI Finance(up 17.04%), S H Kelkar & Co.(up 16.46%), Amrit Corp.(up 16.32%), Unique Organics(up 15.98%) and Deep Industries Ltd.(up 15.58%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 138.71 points down at 60406.9, while the 50-share index, NSE was 29.45 points down at 18039.1.
In the Nifty50 index, 23 stocks traded in the green, while 27 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Amrit Corp., Indian Terrain, 3i Infotech, HP Cotton Text and Amco India hit their fresh 52-week high, while Palm Jewels, Narayani Steels, Sharanam Infra, Getalong Enterprises Ltd. and Sun Retail touched their new 52-week low during the session.
