Lexus Granito(down 4.70%), NMDC Ltd(down 2.03%), Coal India(down 1.85%), Ashapura Minechem(down 1.23%), Aro Granite Industries(down 1.15%), 20 Microns(down 0.41%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.16%) and KIOCL(down 0.13%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 96.25 points down at 17948.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 339.53 points at 60093.92 at around 10:04AM.
UPL Ltd(up 2.04%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.44%), Britannia Industries(up 1.39%), Eicher Motors(up 0.87%), Cipla(up 0.85%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 0.82%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.8%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.76%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.66%) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.51%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tata Steel(down 2.44%), JSW Steel(down 2.4%), Hindalco Industries(down 2.04%), Coal India(down 1.88%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.75%), HDFC(down 1.44%), ICICI Bank(down 1.43%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.09%), SBI Life(down 1.09%) and Asian Paints(down 1.08%) were trading in the red.
