Rana Sugars(down 4.93%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 4.56%), Shree Renuka Sugars(down 3.98%), Sakthi Sugars(down 3.56%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 3.43%), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(down 2.92%), Simbhaoli Sugars(down 2.90%), Bannari Amman Sugars(down 2.65%), Balrampur Chini Mills(down 2.59%) and Uttam Sugar Mills(down 2.56%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 6.7 points up at 18109.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 32.02 points at 60718.71.
Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.46%), Cipla(up 2.42%), ITC(up 2.23%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.04%), UPL Ltd(up 1.88%), Nestle India(up 1.75%), Britannia Industries(up 1.48%), Asian Paints(up 1.47%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.32%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.09%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Coal India(down 4.31%), Tata Steel(down 3.25%), Hindalco Industries(down 2.7%), JSW Steel(down 1.47%), Eicher Motors(down 1.42%), SBI Life(down 1.28%), Shree Cement(down 1.06%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.0%), State Bank of India(down 0.94%) and Bajaj Auto(down 0.93%) closed in the red.
