Domestic benchmark index NSE Nifty ended 110.25 points down at 17999.2, while the BSE Sensex closed 396.34 points down at 60322.37.
On the other hand, Foods & Inns, Bigbloc Const, TV Today Network, JBM Auto and Sirca Paints stocks hit their fresh 52-week highs today.
In the Nifty 50 index, Maruti Suzuki, M&M, Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp and Tech Mahindra were among the top gainers on the NSE in the today’s trade.
Meanwhile, Shree Cements, RIL, Hindalco, SBI and Tata Consumer were among the top losers of the day.
