NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Starline Precious(up 19.58%) and Palash Securities(up 17.73%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 401.55 points down at 59606.78, while the 50-share index, NSE was 136.55 points down at 17762.1.
In the Nifty50 index, 7 stocks traded in the green, while 43 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Kabra Extrusion, H S India, Shine Fashions, Indian Terrain and Nicco Park Res hit their fresh 52-week high, while One97 Communications Ltd., Fino Payments Bank Ltd., GCM Comm, Atreya Petro and Monotype India touched their new 52-week low during the session.
