Berger Paints Share Price: Berger Paints shares up 0.22% as Sensex rises

Shares of (India) Ltd. gained 0.22 per cent to Rs 778.7 in Tuesday’s session as of 01:36PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 221.5 points higher at 58687.39.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 872.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 626.45 on NSE. Around 165196 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:36PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 778.25 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 781.05 and Rs 764.0 during the session so far. The counter quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 89.48, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 8.68 and price to book value (PB) of 21.99, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 21.31.

The promoters held 74.99 per cent stake in the company as of November 23, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 11.22 per cent and 1.15 per cent, respectively.

For the quarter ended 30-Sep-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 2238.0 crore, up 23.27 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 1815.52 crore and up 26.75 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 218.85 crore for the latest quarter, down 0.95 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
