NEW DELHI: Vedanta (Rs. 11628.27 crore), RIL(Rs. 2761.34 crore), One97 Communications Ltd.(Rs. 1896.22 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1860.26 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1461.68 crore), Latent View Analytics Ltd.(Rs. 1442.63 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 1427.50 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 1369.23 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1356.47 crore) and Axis Bank(Rs. 1140.30 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 86.8 points up at 17503.35, while BSE Sensex rose 198.44 points to 58664.33.
In the Nifty index, JSW Steel Ltd.(up 4.00 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 3.94 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 3.75 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.57 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.32 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.54 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.32 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.27 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
