HCL Technologies(up 1.12 per cent) and Tata Consultancy(up 0.28 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Coforge(down 1.89 per cent), Infosys(down 1.14 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech(down 1.05 per cent), Tech Mahindra(down 0.93 per cent) and Wipro(down 0.54 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.45 per cent at 35344.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 66.05 points at 17569.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 205.34 points at 58869.67.
