Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Thursday at 10:35AM

Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(up 1.64%), Future Consumer(up 1.46%), Umang Dairies(up 1.30%), Dangee Dums(up 1.27%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 1.26%), ADF Foods(up 0.94%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 0.77%), Nakoda Group(up 0.60%), Zydus Wellness(up 0.44%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.44%) were among the top gainers.

Euro India Fresh Foods(down 2.58%), Godrej Consumer Products(down 1.52%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(down 1.21%), Dabur India(down 1.15%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.86%), Bajaj Consumer(down 0.53%), Britannia Industries(down 0.53%), P & G Hygiene(down 0.41%), Varun Beverages(down 0.32%) and DFM Foods(down 0.28%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 7.5 points down at 17407.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 12.17 points at 58328.82 at around 10:35AM.

Reliance Industries(up 3.03%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.0%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.82%), Tech Mahindra(up 0.81%), Infosys(up 0.71%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.62%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.49%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.44%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.43%) and HCL Technologies(up 0.42%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Indian Oil Corporation(down 2.16%), Shree Cement(down 1.97%), ICICI Bank(down 1.77%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.57%), Coal India(down 1.54%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.53%), Eicher Motors(down 1.24%), NTPC(down 1.22%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.17%) and HDFC(down 1.16%) were trading in the red.
