NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 12.82 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 2.70 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 2.61 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 1.11 crore), G V Films(numbers of share traded: 0.96 crore), JP Associates(numbers of share traded: 0.86 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 0.75 crore), Reliance Comm(numbers of share traded: 0.72 crore), SITI Networks (numbers of share traded: 0.68 crore) and Ujaas Energy(numbers of share traded: 0.65 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 121.2 points up at 17536.25, while BSE Sensex ended up 454.1 points at 58795.09.
On the other hand, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.(down 1.53 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.20 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
