IndusInd Bank(up 1.23 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.13 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 0.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.
AU Small Finance Bank(down 2.54 per cent), Bandhan Bank(down 2.41 per cent), RBLBANK(down 1.88 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 1.43 per cent) and Federal Bank(down 1.18 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.47 per cent at 35855.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 9.75 points at 17036.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 79.29 points at 57186.44.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
