On Tuesday, oil prices climbed against the backdrop of escalating tensions in the Middle East following statements from Israel’s military chief indicating a response to Iran’s recent missile and drone attack. Despite calls for restraint from allies, Brent futures for June delivery increased by 46 cents, or 0.5%, reaching $90.56 a barrel by 0005 GMT. Similarly, U.S. crude futures for May delivery saw a rise of 43 cents, or 0.5%, reaching $85.84 a barrel.
