nifty fmcg: Stock market update: FMCG stocks gain; Jubilant Foodworks up nearly 2%

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading on a positive note at 01:23PM (IST) on Monday.

Shares of VBL (up 1.69 per cent), Jubilant Foodworks (up 1.65 per cent), P & G Hygiene (up 1.23 per cent), Colgate Palmolive (India) (up 1.06 per cent) and Nestle India (up 1.06 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Emami (down 1.89 per cent), United Breweries (down 0.18 per cent), Dabur India (down 0.16 per cent), Godrej Consumer Products (down 0.15 per cent) and Britannia Industries (down 0.07 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.54 per cent up at 34113.05 around 01:23PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 152.55 points at 15315.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 593.05 points at 52137.35.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Motherson Sumi, PNB, IDFC First Bank and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of MahindraCIE, Adani Gas, Adani Trans and Apollo Hospital hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Sanwaria Consumer Ltd. and We Win Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
