Wall Street indexes opened higher on Wednesday as investors shrugged off President Donald Trump’s threat to not sign a $900 billion Covid-19 stimulus package, while weekly jobless claims came in better than feared.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 200.22 points, or 0.67%, at the open to 30,215.69.
The S&P 500 opened higher by 16.16 points, or 0.46%, at 3,704.20, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 22.95 points, or 0.18%, to 12,784.97 at the opening bell.
