NSE-BSE Bulk Deals: Vanguard sells Rs 1,286 cr shares in HDFC, Infosys, HUL and 27 others

MUMBAI: US-based asset manager Vanguard today unloaded shares worth Rs 1,286.1 crore in 30 stocks including Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, Wipro through several block deals on the BSE, exchange data showed.

Other prominent stocks in which the asset manager sold stake included Housing Development Finance Corporation, HDFC Life Insurance Company, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, UltraTech Cement, among others.

Vanguard sold shares of the 30 stocks in several block deals to VFTR C Institutional Total International Stock Market Index Trust II.

In September, Vanguard had similarly sold shares worth Rs 677 crore in Reliance Industries, TCS, HDFC, HUL and Infosys.

In a separate deal, SBI Mutual Fund bought 2.6 million shares of Ahluwalia Contracts India at Rs 265 apiece in a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange. DSP Mutual Fund, in another deal, sold 3.26 million shares of Ahluwalia Contracts at Rs 265.1.

Shares of Ahluwalia Contracts ended 5.2 per cent higher at Rs 276.50 on the NSE.
