Copper futures rise marginally on fresh bets

Copper prices on Wednesday rose by 0.11 per cent to Rs 591.50 per kg in futures trade on a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery traded higher by 65 paise, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 591.50 per kg in a business turnover of 3,738 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to increase in bets by participants, driven by a pick-up in spot demand.
