Dow Jones shares: Dow Jones opens higher as focus turns to stimulus, corporate earnings

Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Thursday, as investors looked to corporate earnings and signs of progress on a pandemic-relief package after data suggested the labor market was stabilizing.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 106.2 points, or 0.35%, at the open to 30,830.22. The S&P 500 rose 11.92 points, or 0.31%, at the open to 3,842.09, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 49.95 points, or 0.37%, to 13,660.50 at the opening bell.
