Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: ACC, Adani Enterprises, Adani Total Gas, Axis Bank, DLF, Equitas Small Finance Bank, Havells India, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Indian Bank, JSW Steel, Bank of Maharashtra,
and Vedanta.
Overall, 28 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 22 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, ONGC, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, Power Grid and Kotak Bank were among top gainers, while ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Nestle India, Asian Paints and Bajaj Finserv were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 77.86 points up at 52231.99. Traders were seen piling up position in Metals – Ferrous, Diversified, Power, Mining and Metals – Non Ferrous sectors, while selling were visible in Infrastructure, Miscellaneous, Rubber, Airlines and Services sectors.
