midcap stocks: Stock market update: MidCap stocks mixed; Bank of India skyrockets 20%

NEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading on a mixed note at 02:22PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of

(up 19.99 per cent), (up 9.25 per cent), IDBI Bank (up 7.47 per cent), IDFC First Bank (up 5.94 per cent) and Adani Green (up 4.64 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Info Edge (India) (down 3.87 per cent), Page Industries (down 3.43 per cent), Supreme Industries (down 3.08 per cent), Jindal Steel & Power (down 2.63 per cent) and Power Finance Corporation (down 2.36 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.16 per cent up at 20261.1 around 02:22PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 94.60 points at 15218.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 365.64 points at 51738.53.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Central Bank Ind, IOB, PNB and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Bank of Maha, IOB, Bank of India, Happiest Minds and Indian Bank hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Cospower Engineering, Chandrima Mercantiles, Sanwaria Consumer, Otco International, Elegant Floriculture & Agrotech (I), Interactive Financial Services, Suncare Traders, Meenakshi Enterprises, Kakatiya Textiles and Artemis Electricals hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
