Smallcap stocks: Stock market update: SmallCap stocks down; Central Bank of India sheds 10%

NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading lower at 03:01PM (IST) on Monday.

Shares of

(down 9.98 per cent), Bajaj Electricals (down 7.63 per cent), (down 7.43 per cent), (down 7.26 per cent) and Future Lifestyle Fashions (down 6.39 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Sonata Software (up 15.83 per cent), Hindustan Copper (up 15.66 per cent), Vaibhav Global Ltd (up 11.99 per cent), Jagran Prakashan (up 11.26 per cent) and Ratnamani Metals & Tubes (up 10.58 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.68 per cent down at 19727.52 around 03:01PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 248.65 points at 14733.1, while the BSE Sensex was down 941.21 points at 49948.55.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, PNB, Central Bank of India and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Hind Copper, Vaibhav Global, Ratnamani Metal, Aditya Birla Capital and Poly Medicure hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade.
