Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Aditya Birla Capital, Deepak Nitrite, Hindustan Copper, HLE Glascoat, Hindustan Foods, IIFL Finance, JSW Steel, Shipping Corporation Of India, Supreme Industries, Tata Steel, Vedanta and VA Tech Wabag.
Overall, 34 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 16 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Coal India Ltd, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and BPCL were among top gainers, while GAIL, TCS, UPL , Dr. Reddy’s and Power Grid were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 422.23 points up at 50173.64. Traders were seen piling up position in General, IT – Hardware, Diversified, Mining and Airlines sectors, while selling were visible in Infrastructure, Electric/Electronics, Agro Processing, Auto and Services sectors.
