Nasdaq opens higher as tech stocks rebound after Thursday’s rout

The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq index opened higher on Friday following a sharp pullback on Wall Street as tech-related stocks rebounded but sentiment remained fragile, with U.S. bond yields at one-year high.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 120.7 points at the open to 31,281.20. The S&P 500 rose 18.3 points, or 0.48%, at the open to 3,847.86, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 196.5 points, or 1.50%, to 13,315.78 at the opening bell.
