(up 7.86 per cent), Adani Power (up 4.97 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (up 4.37 per cent) and Cummins India (up 4.34 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Adani Transmissions (down 2.55 per cent), Page Industries (down 2.33 per cent), Berger Paints India (down 1.96 per cent), Muthoot Finance (down 1.95 per cent) and TVS Motor Company (down 1.93 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.53 per cent up at 20697.67 around 02:25PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 100.90 points at 15039.0, while the BSE Sensex was up 314.4 points at 50719.72.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.
