Shares of IDBI Bank (down 6.21 per cent), Ashok Leyland (down 4.83 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank (down 4.59 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 4.55 per cent) and Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail (down 4.54 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While Adani Power (up 5.0 per cent), Motilal Oswal Financial Services (up 1.87 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (up 1.38 per cent), Muthoot Finance (up 1.01 per cent) and Godrej Industries (up 0.88 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 1.97 per cent down at 20105.34 around 02:48PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 121.20 points at 14789.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 339.36 points at 50024.6.
