pharma stocks: Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls over 1%; Dr Reddy’s Lab slips over 2%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Pharma index was trading with cuts at 02:04PM (IST) on Thursday.

Shares of Aurobindo Pharma (down 2.57 per cent), Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (down 2.26 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories (down 1.86 per cent), Cipla (down 1.68 per cent) and Cadila Healthcare (down 1.61 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Biocon (up 0.59 per cent) was the sole loser in the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.52 per cent down at 11608.55 around 02:04PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 154.40 points at 14566.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 560.74 points at 49240.88.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, PNB, YES Bank and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Orchid Pharma , Dixon Tech, Adani Power and Sundram Fast hit their fresh 52week high in today’s trade, while Shrenik Ltd., B C Power Controls Ltd., Jiya Eco Products Ltd., Tembo Global Industries Ltd., Silly Monks Entertainment Ltd., Asian Hotels (West) Ltd., Marine Electricals (India) Ltd., Infomedia Press Ltd. and Radha Madhav Corporation Ltd. hit fresh 52week low in trade.
