Gold futures slide on low demand

NEW DELHI: Gold futures on Tuesday fell 0.19 per cent to Rs 44,819 per 10 gram as participants offloaded their holdings on a low spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold prices for April delivery slipped by Rs 86, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 44,819 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 7,806 lots.

In the international market, gold was trading 0.03 per cent lower at USD 1,739.80 per ounce in New York.
