NEW DELHI: Copper prices on Monday traded up 2.62 per cent at Rs 727.85 per kg in the futures market on the back of a pickup in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in April traded higher by Rs 18.55, or 2.62 per cent, at Rs 727.85 per kg in a business turnover of 3,298 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to raising of bets by participants driven by the pickup in spot demand.
