Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Amrutanjan Healthcare, Apollo Hospitals, Cipla, Gland Pharma, JB Chemicals, Jindal Steel & Power, JSW Energy, K.P.R. Mill, NBI Industrial Finance, Supreme Petrochem, Tata Elxsi and Tata Consumer Products.
Overall, 38 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 12 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Bajaj Finance, Dr. Reddy’s, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Consumer and IndusInd Bank were among top gainers, while UltraTech Cements, HCL Tech, Shree Cements, Tech Mahindra and HDFC were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 221.88 points up at 48171.30. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Rubber, Hospitals & Allied Services, Metals – Ferrous and Financial Services sectors, while selling were visible in Plastics, Cement, IT Software, Aquaculture and InvIT sectors.
