NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 134.32 points up at 52904.05 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Devoted Construction (down 16.42 per cent), Alankit (down 13.60 per cent), MRP Agro Ltd. (down 11.42 per cent), Starteck Finance (down 9.97 per cent) and Tiaan Ayurvedic & He (down 9.96 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 41.6 points up at 15853.95.
On the BSE, Devoted Construction, Infronic Sys, Tricom Fruit, CHD Chemicals Ltd. and Aneri Fincap hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Inani Marbles, Indbank Merc, Kamadgiri Fash, Kaya and Dolat Invst touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
