TIINDIA (up 1.21 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (up 0.66 per cent), Bosch (up 0.4 per cent), Ashok Leyland (up 0.27 per cent) and Bharat Forge (up 0.2 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Mahindra & Mahindra (down 1.13 per cent), MRF (down 0.83 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 0.64 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (down 0.31 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (down 0.29 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.29 per cent at 10437.65 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 35.35 points at 15889.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 136.96 points at 53041.01.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
