The appointment of Vats as deputy MD is understood to be part of a plan to prepare Pidilite for the future. Given the increasing size and complexity of Pidilite, which has over 15 domestic and international subsidiaries as well as a growing number of verticals, a need was felt to further strengthen the leadership, sources said.
