NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 18.79 points down at 53140.06 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Riba Textiles (down 10.82 per cent), Cheviot Company (down 10.03 per cent), Franklin Leasing & F (down 9.95 per cent), India Green Reality (down 9.83 per cent) and SPS Finquest (down 8.92 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 24 stocks closed in the green, while 26 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 0.8 points down at 15923.4.
On the BSE, Franklin Leasing & F, Bansisons Tea, Quantum Build-Tech, Aneri Fincap and Joy Realty hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Amarjothi Spin, Angel Broking, Deepak Spinners, Eco Recycling and East India Sec touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
