NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 302.78 points down at 52250.62 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Allsec Tech (down 11.24 per cent), Ratnabhumi Developer (down 7.86 per cent), LKP Securities (down 7.55 per cent), Alok Industries (down 6.74 per cent) and Kemistar Corp (down 6.54 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 15 stocks traded in the green, while 35 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 93.6 points down at 15658.8.
On the BSE, Premier Capital Services Ltd., Rander Corp, Ozone World and Shalimar Prod hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Filtra Consultants &, Elnet Techn, Prithvi Exchange , Intense Tech and Shyam Century Ferro touched their fresh 52-week highs.
