NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 8.32 crore), GTL Infra (numbers of share traded: 3.86 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 2.42 crore), Orient Green Pwr (numbers of share traded: 2.10 crore), JCT Ltd (numbers of share traded: 2.05 crore), Jaypee Infra (numbers of share traded: 1.42 crore), Vikas Ecotech (numbers of share traded: 1.34 crore), Just Dial (numbers of share traded: 1.33 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 1.28 crore) and Den Networks (numbers of share traded: 1.27 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 120.3 points down at 15632.1, while BSE Sensex ended down 354.89 points at 52198.51.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 3.51 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 3.38 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 2.61 per cent), NTPC Ltd. (down 2.43 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd. (down 2.36 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
