Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 80.79 points up at 52918.00 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Rama Phosphates (down 10.00 per cent), Vivid Mercantile (down 10.00 per cent), Sanco Trans (down 7.07 per cent), Martin Burn (down 6.94 per cent) and Avonmore Capital & (down 6.44 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 34 stocks traded in the green, while 16 stocks traded in the red.

The Nifty index was trading 21.1 points up at 15845.15.

On the BSE, SVP Housing, PVP Ventures Ltd., AA Plus Tradelink Ltd., Premier Capital Services Ltd. and Rander Corp hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Victory Paper, OrissaBengalCarrier, Asian Hotels (E), Blue Chip Tex and Tainwala Chem touched their fresh 52-week highs.
