Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 0.58 per cent), MPhasis (up 0.42 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (up 0.3 per cent), Mindtree (up 0.29 per cent) and Coforge (up 0.28 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Tech Mahindra (down 1.04 per cent), HCL Technologies (down 0.86 per cent), Wipro (down 0.2 per cent), Tata Consultancy (down 0.18 per cent) and Infosys (down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.18 per cent at 29885.1 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 35.65 points at 15860.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 87.08 points at 52939.35.
