Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 25.3 points to 15803.75 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Viceroy Hotels, Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd., Alembic Pharma, Keerti Knowledge and Bright Solar, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 32 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 18 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Power Grid, M&M and Tata Motors were among top gainers, while Bajaj Finserv, SBI, SBI Life, Bajaj Finance and Hindalco traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 75.68 points up at 52728.75 at 10:19AM (IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Fertilisers, Diversified, Metals – Ferrous, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock and Chemicals sectors, while selling was visible in Petrochemicals, Power, Miscellaneous, Industrial Consumables and Rubber sectors.
