MRF share price: MRF shares up 0.62% as Sensex rises

Shares of Ltd. gained 0.62 per cent to Rs 80899.8 in Tuesday’s session as of 11:27AM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 372.74 points higher at 53323.37.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 98575.9 and a 52-week low of Rs 55360.35 on NSE. Around 140 shares changed hands on the counter till 11:27AM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 80650.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 81072.25 and Rs 80650.0 during the session so far. The stock quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 26.87, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 3011.15 and price to book value (PB) of 2.6, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 9.52.

The promoters held 27.82 per cent stake in the company as of August 03, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 19.01 per cent and 7.5 per cent, respectively.

For the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 4874.2 crore, up 3.59 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 4705.22 crore and up 30.14 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 332.15 crore for the latest quarter, down 51.08 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
