Brigade Enterprises (up 3.44 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 2.1 per cent), Godrej Properties (up 1.37 per cent), Sunteck Realty (up 1.36 per cent) and Hemisphere Properties India (up 1.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Indiabulls Real Estate (down 2.03 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (down 0.99 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 0.67 per cent at 420.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 88.65 points at 15973.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 352.36 points at 53302.99.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
