Dr Reddys Laboratories (up 1.47 per cent), Cipla (up 0.83 per cent), Cadila Healthcare (up 0.66 per cent), Divis Laboratories (up 0.44 per cent) and Lupin (up 0.36 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Alkem Laboratories (down 0.63 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 0.35 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.37 per cent at 14702.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 124.95 points at 16255.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 462.37 points at 54285.73.
